Will setting the auto-renew switch to "no" prevent billing?
No.
If I set the auto-renew to No, will the account "bill" again and charge the consumer's credit-card?
Yes.
Solution:
Look at the memos posted in the right-hand column of the Customer Detail page. If the account has already been renewed by the system then setting the auto-renew switch (or flag) to "no" will in effect prevent the wellness plan from renewing the following year - not the present year.
In this scenario the wellness plan instead must be cancelled.
Example:
Start Date Category From User Message
Jan 03, 18 Account Information Staff Jan 03, 18(Staff) Auto Renew option has been disabled.
Dec 21, 17 Payment Issues Batch Job Dec 21, 17(Batch) Plan auto renewed by system.
The Vcp-system's back office maintenance "job" executed prior to Staff setting the auto-renew switch (or flag) to "No". Therefore this wellness plan will auto-renew on schedule and charge the consumer's method of payment. This wellness plan will instead need to be cancelled if the consumer no longer wants to continue or renew the present wellness plan.
