What is the Agreed Settlement Amount?
The Agreed Settlement Amount is a dollar-amount determined by the merchant when cancelling the care plan representing monies due to either the merchant or pet parent.
When cancelling a care plan:
- enter a positive-figure in the Agreed Settlement Amount field and elect to charge the card on file for monies due.
- enter zero (0) and cancel the plan.
- enter a negative-figure to represent a refund is being given to the consumer; the system does not return monies to the consumer - merchant provides refund.
Other than entering zero (0), a payment will be posted and visible in the Statements/Payments section and facilitate reporting.
